Air is escaping from the wrong valve opening on my MULTI VALVE pump head?

Note: This question refers to the MULTI VALVE valve head, not the MV EASY valve head.

If you are using an older MULTI VALVE head, the internal ball is likely stuck or dirty and can no longer seal properly. In this case, the pump head should be opened and the inside cleaned thoroughly. After cleaning, the head should function properly again.
